111 NE 11th Ave

Norse Hall was built and dedicated in 1928 by Norwegian immigrants, members of Grieg Lodge, and has served the Lodge and the community as a home and cultural center ever since. Located just across the Willamette River from the city’s downtown core in the vibrant Lower East Burnside neighborhood, Norse Hall is among the last remaining original ‘ethnic halls’ in Portland. It features one of the finest ballrooms in town, a large stage, two dining rooms and kitchens, spacious meeting room, beautiful library, Nordic arts showcase and comfortable lounge. The building was designed by well-known Portland architect Elmer Feig, and covers a quarter of a city block at 111 N.E. 11th & Couch Street. It is available for use by the community on a private basis.

Parking around Norse Hall is limited to a small lot and street parking. We recommend using TriMet (Portland’s public transit system) if possible! The Max green line, red line, and blue line all stop at the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave stop, which is a 13-minute walk to the venue. Alternatively, the 12 bus runs along Sandy Blvd. Use trimet.org to plan your trips. If you drive, take care not to block the Franz bread factory’s driveways; their trucks need access 24/7 and they will tow you.

Williams Pub & Patio 3947 N Williams Ave

Migration’s 3rd full kitchen pub is in the modern, award-winning ecoFlats building. Completed in 2010, the building was Energy Trust’s first “Path to Net Zero Energy” project and is one of the city’s most efficient commercial structures. Our pub was designed with clean lines and features 20 taps of fresh beer coupled with some of the best food on the block. The hidden secret is the expansive patio in the back that boasts a lush backdrop where you can enjoy all your favorite lawn games. Whether hosting a private event, stopping by for happy hour or before the big game, the Williams pub is your neighborhood stop!

Limited street parking is available on Williams, with more in the surrounding neighborhood.
